02 — Family Coverage

Covering your family
the right way.

Finding a plan that works for everyone in your household — pediatric care, prescriptions, your doctors — without overpaying takes someone who knows the market. That's me.

One wrong plan choice costs your family thousands.

Family plans aren't just about the monthly premium. The network matters — your kids' pediatrician, your specialist, the hospital you'd go to in an emergency. A cheap plan that kicks you out of network is worse than a more expensive one that keeps you in it.

I compare every carrier's network, deductible structure, and out-of-pocket maximum against what your family actually uses. Then I show you 3–4 real options, not a hundred confusing ones.

  • Network checks — make sure your current doctors are covered
  • Pediatric dental and vision coverage built in
  • Prescription coverage for any ongoing medications
  • Family deductible vs. individual deductible explained clearly
  • Options for households with mixed coverage situations
Can you mix plans?
Yes — in some cases it makes sense to put kids on a separate plan or split coverage differently across your household. I'll run the numbers to see if that saves you money compared to one family plan.
What if one spouse has employer coverage?
If one spouse has access to group coverage, the rest of the family may be better off on a separate private or marketplace plan depending on the employer plan's cost. I'll compare both scenarios.
New baby? You have 60 days.
A birth, adoption, or placement triggers a Special Enrollment Period. You have 60 days from the event to add or change coverage. Private plans may have even more flexibility — call me and we'll get it sorted fast.
